My Vision, Jesus’s Way

So then, each of us will give an account of ourselves to God.~ Romans 14:12

When Paul reminds us that each of us will give an account to God, he’s really pointing us back to Jesus.

One day, it won’t be about what others thought of us, how many likes we got, or even how we compare to the person next to us. It will simply be: How did we live for Jesus?

Accountability isn’t about living in fear, it’s about living aware. Jesus gave His life for us, so we want to give ours back to Him, not halfway but wholeheartedly.

Our responsibility to Him is to walk in love, obey His Word, and steward well what He’s entrusted us with.

Three simple ways to stay accountable to Jesus this week:

1. Do a heart check. Ask yourself, “Am I doing this for me, or for Him?”

2. Let people in. Talk with someone you trust who isn’t afraid to speak the truth in love.

3. Keep it honest with God. Don’t let stuff build up. Bring it to Him quickly and let His grace cover it.

Dear Lord ~ Thank You for trusting me with this life. Help me remember that I live for You and not for myself. Give me the courage to be honest with where I fall short, the humility to listen when others correct me, and the wisdom to walk in Your ways. May my life be an offering that honors You. ~ Amen.
