My Vision - Jesus’s Way
For the LORD will be your confidence and will keep your foot from being caught. ~ Proverbs 3:26
When we walk in the confidence God gives us, we stop playing small and start stepping boldly into the purpose He made us for. We all have moments when our confidence feels shaky and the challenges seem way bigger than we are. But Proverbs 3:26 reminds us that real confidence doesn’t come from trusting ourselves, it comes from trusting God. When He’s our foundation, He gives us strength and keeps us from getting tripped up.
Real confidence starts with knowing you’re never alone. God’s Spirit is with you in every conversation, every decision, and every challenge, and when fear creeps in, you can trust that the King of Kings is right beside you. It also means holding tight to His promises; the Bible is packed with reminders that God will guide you, protect you, and take care of you, even when doubt tries to tell you otherwise. And when your own strength runs low, you don’t have to panic. God’s power never runs out, and He invites you to lean on Him to do more through you than you could ever do on your own.
Here are three areas to focus on to build confidence this week:
Step 1: Stay Aware of His Presence
Start each day by reminding yourself that God is with you. Say a quick prayer or repeat a truth like, "God, You are here with me." Keep that mindset through conversations, decisions, and challenges.
Step 2: Anchor Yourself in His Promises
Pick one promise from Scripture to focus on each week. Write it down, memorize it, or put it somewhere you’ll see it often. Let God’s Word drown out any doubts that try to sneak in.
Step 3: Lean on His Power, Not Your Own
When you start feeling overwhelmed or weak, take a deep breath and shift your focus. Instead of trying harder on your own, pray, "God, I need Your strength right now," and trust that He’s more than enough.
Today, let your confidence rise, not because you have it all figured out, but because you know the One who does.
Dear Lord ~ today I choose to place my confidence in You. Remind me that Your presence goes before me, Your promises are true, and Your power is at work within me. Help me to walk with boldness, not because of who I am, but because of who You are. Keep my feet steady and my heart trusting. ~ Amen.
