My Vision, Jesus’s Way
"But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint." ~ Isaiah 40:31
Picture this: you and I are sitting across from each other in a cozy coffee shop and we’re talking life. You’re tired. I’m tired. But God? He’s never tired. Isaiah 40:31 reminds us that when our strength runs out, His doesn’t. That’s resilience - getting up again, not because we are unshakable, but because He is.
Living our purpose “on purpose” isn’t about hustling harder or being perfect, it’s about leaning into the gifts God gave you and saying, I’m going to use these for His glory, even when it’s tough. And here’s a little secret: when the road feels heavy, look back at where God has already brought you through.
Past victories are proof that He’ll show up again. Every answered prayer, every hurdle you’ve cleared, those aren’t just memories, they’re mile markers reminding you that resilience is possible because God has already been faithful.
And here’s the challenge: live your life to The Standard. Not just any standard - The Standard Jesus set. His life is the blueprint of integrity, courage, and love. When you choose to walk in His example, you raise the bar for how you show up in your family, your work, your friendships, and your calling.
Resilience isn’t just about bouncing back; it’s about staying true to The Standard God has called you to live by - on purpose, with purpose, and through faith.
Three Action Steps to Build Resilience with Jesus:
1. Use your gifts intentionally. Pray each morning: “Lord, show me one way to use my gift today to bless someone else.” Then do it.
2. Reframe setbacks. Instead of saying, “This is failure,” say, “This is training ground.” Write down one thing each evening you learned through a challenge.
3. Lean on past wins. Take five minutes to journal about a time God helped you overcome. Let that memory fuel your confidence for what you’re facing now.
Resilience isn’t white-knuckling life, it's trusting God to renew your strength, daily. It’s living with integrity to The Standard Jesus set, refusing to settle for less, and choosing to live on purpose because He gave His life on purpose for you.
Dear Lord ~ Thank You for being my strength when I feel weak. Help me to live with intention, to use my gifts for Your glory, and to stay the course when life is challenging. Remind me of the ways You’ve already carried me through so I can face today with faith and courage. Teach me to live to Your Standard - the life of integrity, faith, and purpose You modeled in Jesus. May my life reflect resilience, joy, and a commitment to walk with You each day ~ Amen.
