My Vision, Jesus's Way Week 1

Proverbs 3:5-6
"Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make straight your paths."

We all have dreams, goals, and plans. But the challenge often comes in how we approach them. It’s so easy to rely on our own strength and understanding. Proverbs 3:5-6 reminds us to trust God with everything, our whole heart, not just part of it. We’re called to stop focusing on our limited perspective and instead acknowledge God in every step of the journey. When we do this, He promises to guide us toward His purpose and straighten our paths.

When you’re setting your goals, seek God’s guidance. Don’t just think about what you want, think about what He wants for you. Ask yourself: How can my goals serve others? How can they reflect God’s love and truth?

Three questions to ask yourself as you work on your goals this week:

  1. Are my goals in line with God’s Word?
Take a moment to pray and ask God for wisdom. What does He say about your vision? Are your goals aligned with His will?

  2. Am I trusting God fully?
It’s easy to fall back on our own plans and strategies, but true success comes when we trust God with every detail. Let go of the outcomes and trust Him to guide you.

  3. How will I serve others through these goals?
Goals aren’t just about advancing ourselves. Jesus calls us to put others first and live for something bigger. How can your goals reflect this heart of service?

As you step into this week, trust that God is guiding your steps. You might not see the full picture right away, but when you lean into Him and acknowledge His presence, He’ll lead you where you need to go. Take each step with faith, knowing He’s working out His good plan for you.

This Week’s Challenge:

What are three things you want to accomplish this week? Write them down, pray over them, and consider how each one aligns with God’s will. Take action, trusting that as you follow His guidance, He will straighten your path.

Prayer:
Dear Lord, thank You for Your guidance. Help me to trust You fully and seek Your wisdom in all my plans. As I pursue my goals this week, may they reflect Your heart and serve others. I surrender my understanding to You and ask You to direct my steps. In Jesus' name, Amen.
