My Vision, Jesus's Way Week 48

My Vision, Jesus’s Way

“The true light that gives light to everyone was coming into the world.” ~ John 1:9

As we step into the four weeks of Advent, we’re entering a season that’s meant to slow us down a bit and help us reset our hearts. “Advent” simply means arrival, a reminder that Jesus didn’t just show up in history; He showed up right on time, bringing hope, peace, love, and joy to a worn down world.

These weeks before Christmas give us space to make room in our hearts again, to sit with the miracle of His birth, and to look ahead to the day He comes back. Advent helps pull our focus away from the rush and noise and brings us back to what really matters: the steady, never-failing promises of God fulfilled in Christ.

This season of Advent also invites us to align our path with God’s heart—My Vision, Jesus’s Way—allowing His truth and presence to shape how we see, lead, love, and live.

A few seasons ago, I created a daily Advent devotional called The Arrival, and this season I’ll be sharing those daily reflections again, one each day leading up through Christmas. My hope is that they anchor your heart, steady your spirit, and help you experience Jesus in a fresh way.

Join me as we slow down, refocus, and celebrate THE ARRIVAL—the hope, peace, love, and joy that Jesus brings.

Three Action Steps for This Week:

1. Pause with purpose: Take 5 quiet minutes each morning to breathe, pray, and invite Jesus to shape your vision for the day.

2. Notice His arrival moments: Look for one moment each day where you sense hope, peace, love, or joy, and write it down.

3. Bless someone intentionally: Choose one person this week to encourage with a text, prayer, or small act of kindness.

Dear Lord ~ Thank You for showing up in our world, and in our lives, right when we need You. As we move through this Advent season, help us slow down, breathe a little deeper, and actually notice You. Fill us with Your hope, steady our hearts with Your peace, wrap us in Your love, and bring back our joy. Get our hearts ready for Your arrival today and every day. ~ Amen.
