My Vision - Jesus's Way

"Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power" ~ Ephesians 6:10

What does it really mean to be strong in faith? Ephesians 6:10 says, "Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the power of his might." This isn’t about flexing our own muscles, it’s about tapping into God's strength, which is limitless.

Think about it like this: Paul paints this awesome picture of us as spiritual warriors gearing up for battle. We’re not meant to go into life’s struggles weak or unprepared. The armor we’re given is all about strength, but not just physical strength, it also includes our spiritual strength. Here’s how each piece builds us up:

Truth is the belt that holds us steady. It’s like the foundation that strengthens us to stay honest, anchored in what's real and good.

Righteousness is the breastplate, protecting our hearts. When we walk right, we stay shielded from things that would break us down emotionally or morally.

The gospel of peace is like the shoes that give us the strength to keep moving forward. They prepare us to share God’s love, no matter where we are.

Faith is the shield that protects us from those moments of doubt and fear. It helps us stand strong when the enemy tries to shake us.

Salvation is the helmet that guards our minds. It’s a reminder of the ultimate victory we have in Jesus, giving us the mental strength to keep going.

The Word of God is the sword, our offensive weapon. It’s sharp and powerful, helping us fight back against everything that isn’t true.

So, how do we develop our strength? We keep putting on these pieces daily. The more we understand and embrace them, the stronger we become—not because of us, but because of His might. Every piece of armor is a reminder that we’re not doing this on our own; God’s power is backing us up.

Is there one piece of this armor that you need to put on this week? Be mindful about how you “dress” yourself each day. Remember: you have everything you need to be strong, and it’s all rooted in Him. Keep building up that strength, piece by piece, day by day. You’ve got this, because God’s got you!

Prayer: Dear Lord, thank You for equipping me with everything I need to stand strong in You. Thank You for Your armor that protects and strengthens me for truth, righteousness, peace, faith, salvation, and Your Word that guides and defends me every day. Help me to remember that my strength doesn’t come from our own efforts but from Your power working in me. When life feels overwhelming, remind me to put on Your armor and stand firm in Your strength. I trust You to carry me through, and I know You are always by my side ~ Amen.
