Walk His Way 5
I therefore, a prisoner for the Lord, urge you to walk in a manner worthy of the calling to which you have been called. ~ Ephesians 4:1 Some callings feel loud. Others feel ordinary. But every step matters when you’re walking with purpose under Jesus’ teachings. In Ephesians 4, Paul reminds us that life is a journey worth traveling well: “Walk in a manner worthy of the calling to which you have been called…” That word walk matters. Faith was never meant to be parked. It’s movement. Growth. Direction. A daily decision to travel differently. The world tells us to chase status, recognition, and success to find our worth. Jesus teaches something different: Your worth is already found in who you are called to become. Not perfect. Not louder than everyone else. Not above others. But humble. Gentle. Patient. Loving. Humans helping humans be better through the example of Christ. The way we speak to people. The way we lead. The way we show grace when it’s inconvenient. That’s the real walk. And in a divided world, unity becomes part of the mission. One faith. One body. One Lord. We travel together - not alone. Three actionable steps to take this week: Walk With Intention - Before you start your day, ask: “Does the way I’m walking reflect the calling God placed on my life?” Choose Patience Over Pride - Slow down when frustration hits. Humility and gentleness are strengths, not weaknesses. Help One Human Be Better Today - Encourage someone. Listen deeply. Lead with peace. Small acts done in love carry eternal impact. Dear Lord ~ Help me walk worthy of the calling You have placed on my life. Teach me to move with humility, gentleness, patience, and love. When pride, division, or frustration try to lead me off course, bring me back to Your truth. Use my life to help human’s human better through Your example. Let the way I walk point others toward peace, unity, and hope in You ~ Amen
Walk His Way 4
“And walk in love, as Christ loved us and gave Himself up for us.” ~ Ephesians 5:2 Let’s keep this simple… but not soft. Sit with this: This isn’t a suggestion. It’s a direction. Walk in love. Not when it’s easy. Not when people deserve it. Not when your schedule clears up. Walk in love anyway. Because the standard isn’t us. The standard is Christ. And He didn’t love halfway. He didn’t love when it was convenient. He didn’t love when people had it all together. He gave himself up. Fully. Freely. Without hesitation. Here’s where it hits different: We love the idea of purpose. We talk about impact. We want to make a difference. But we try to do it… → without sacrifice → without discomfort → without actually walking it out daily That’s not the walk. Walking His way means this: You choose patience when you'd rather snap You show up when it would be easier to check out You give when it costs you something You lead with love even when your feelings don’t back you up. Because love - real love - isn’t a feeling. It’s a decision you make over and over again. And don’t miss this: You’ve been given gifts. Not just talents. Not just skills. Gifts with purpose. And they weren’t given to you to sit on. They were given to you to serve, to impact, to build others up. Walking in love means you actually use them. Not someday. Not when you feel more ready. Now. Because someone on the other side of your obedience needs what you’ve been holding back. Three Ways to Walk It Out This Week: 1. Choose Love First (Even When It’s Hard) Before you react = pause. Ask yourself: What would love do here? Then do that… not what your emotions are pushing. 2. Give Something That Costs You Your time. Your attention. Your energy. Encourage someone. Help someone. Show up for someone. Love gets real when it requires something from you. 3. Use One Gift—On Purpose You’re good at something. You know it. Stop overthinking it. Use it to impact one person this week. A message. A conversation. A moment of leadership. Truth to carry with you: You don’t figure this out by standing still. You walk it. You live it. You learn it in motion. Because the goal isn’t just to believe like Christ… It’s to walk like Him. Dear Lord ~ Teach me how to walk in love, not just talk about it. Give me the courage to choose patience when it’s hard, to give when it costs me, and to show up when it would be easier to step back. Help me see the people in front of me the way You see them. Use my gifts to serve, to encourage, and to impact others. Shape my steps so they reflect You. Not perfectly, but intentionally. Let my life be a reflection of Your love in action ~ Amen.
