My Vision, Jesus’s Way

And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to His purpose ~ Romans 8:28

Have you ever hit a moment where life felt like it was falling apart, but somehow, some way, it ended up turning around for the better? That’s Romans 8:28 in action. The verse says:

“And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to His purpose”

That’s not just a feel-good quote, it’s a promise. And it’s exciting! It means that no matter what we face, if we’re walking with Christ, He’s actively working things out for our good. But here’s the thing: this isn’t a sit-back-and-wait verse. It’s a get-up-and-go kind of verse. It motivates us to live fully, love boldly, and become the best version of ourselves, with Jesus walking right beside us.

But let’s be honest: living that out day-to-day can be tough. That’s why this verse is such a game-changer. It reminds us that God is with us every step, not just on Sundays or in the big moments, but in the daily walk, in the small, unseen parts of our story.

The most amazing part? We’re not walking alone. Jesus is beside us, guiding, encouraging, and turning even our hardest days into stepping stones for something greater. So what can we do with this truth?

Here are 3 simple ways to take Romans 8:28 from a verse we believe to a truth we live out:

1. Trust Even When You Can’t See the Outcome. Remind yourself daily: “God is working, even in this.” When life feels uncertain, lean into His promise instead of your fears.

Action Step: Journal one area where you’re struggling. Write out how God might use it to grow or redirect you.

2. Step Into Purpose Over Perfection. You don’t need to have everything figured out. Just take one step toward the person God is calling you to be.

Action Step: Choose one small habit to start this week, like reading Scripture, waking up 10 minutes earlier to pray, or beginning that passion project.

3. Walk Daily with Jesus. He’s with you in the ordinary moments. Make room for His presence in your everyday routine.

Action Step: Pick a time in your day, like your morning coffee or evening walk, to intentionally talk to Jesus. No pressure. Just be real with Him.

Let Romans 8:28 remind you today: God is in your corner, and that’s the ultimate motivation. So don’t just believe the verse, walk it out. Your best days aren’t behind you, they’re unfolding right now.

Dear Lord ~ Thank You for the promise of Romans 8:28. Help me trust that You are working all things for good, even when I can’t see it. Remind me that I am not alone, and that with You, every step I take has purpose. Let your promises be my motivation to live courageously and  to move forward.  Strengthen my faith to become who You’ve created me to be. ~Amen.
