My Vision ~ Jesus’s Way
Fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before Him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. ~ Hebrews 12:2
Ever feel like you’re going through the motions without really seeing where you're headed? It’s easy to get caught up in the busyness of life - checking boxes, managing routines, chasing goals - without a clear vision of why it all matters. That’s where Hebrews 12:2 brings clarity and focus. It reminds us that real direction, lasting purpose, and the best version of ourselves come when we lock eyes on something greater, someone greater. Vision isn’t just about having a plan, it’s about fixing our eyes on Jesus, the One who sees the full picture and leads us there with grace.
“Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before Him, he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.” ~ Hebrews 12:2
Jesus didn’t just talk about faith, He walked it, all the way to the cross. He had a clear vision: joy on the other side of pain, purpose on the other side of pressure. He endured it all for us, and now He invites us to follow Him, not perfectly, but faithfully. That’s how we become who we were created to be.
We don’t grow by trying to be “enough” on our own. We grow when we center our lives around Him - our thoughts, our choices, our dreams. Becoming the best version of yourself isn’t about hustle or hype. It’s about alignment. It’s about walking in step with Jesus and letting Him shape your character, your calling, and your confidence.
Three Steps to Fix Your Focus This Week:
Start Your Day with Purpose - Before you reach for your phone, take 5 minutes to pray or read a short scripture (like Hebrews 12:2). Ask: Where am I fixing my eyes today?
Write Down One Faith-Focused Goal - Choose one area where you want to grow this week—patience, courage, generosity—and ask Jesus to guide your progress. Keep it simple and focused.
Check In Midweek - Take 10 minutes midweek to reflect. How’s your focus? What’s distracting you? Realign your vision with a short prayer: “Jesus, help me see as You see.”
Dear Lord ~ Thank You for going before me. When life feels like too much, help me keep my eyes on You, the One who gets me, strengthens me, and loves me as I am. I want to grow into the best version of myself, not for approval, but because You see something beautiful in me already. Give me the grace to keep going and the joy to keep growing. Amen.
