The ARRIVAL ~ A Christmas Devotional - Day 22
1 Corinthians 16:14 ~ Let all that you do be done in love. As we celebrate the season of Christmas, we are reminded of the greatest gift ever given—Jesus Christ. His birth, life, and sacrificial LOVE embody the true meaning of Christmas. 1 Corinthians 16:14 tells us, "Let all that you do be done in LOVE", In the hustle and bustle of holiday preparations, it can be easy to forget this simple yet profound call. Christmas is all about LOVE. It’s about celebrating the birth of Jesus, who came to show us how to LOVE others. It’s not just about gifts or traditions; it’s about serving and caring for those around us, just like Jesus did. Whether you’re helping a friend, sharing a meal, or just being kind to someone who needs it, those little acts of LOVE are what make Christmas truly special. This Christmas season, let’s focus on doing everything with LOVE, remembering that LOVE was the reason Jesus came to us in the first place. Let’s show His LOVE through our actions and make this Christmas one of kindness, joy, grace and LOVE. Prayer: Dear Lord, Thank You for the amazing gift of Jesus. Help me to remember that Christmas is about LOVE. Let me LOVE others the way You LOVE me. As I go through the season, guide me to serve and care for those around me. Let everything I do be filled with LOVE, just like You showed us. ~ Amen
My Vision, Jesus's Way Week 51My Vision, Jesus’s Way These things I have spoken to you, that my joy may be in you, and that your joy may be full. ~ John 15:11 As we move through this season and count down the days to Christmas, we’re reminded that waiting isn’t wasted time. It’s a season full of hope. Advent gives us permission to slow down, take a breath, and remember that God’s greatest gift didn’t arrive with noise or flash, but quietly, wrapped
Jesus puts it this way: “These things I have spoken to you, that my joy may be in you, and that your joy may be full.” — John 15:11 The joy Jesus offers isn’t tied to packed calendars, perfect plans, or everything going smoothly. It’s a steady, lasting joy that settles in our hearts simply because He is with us. As we look forward to celebrating His birth, we’re invited not just to receive that joy, but to let it spill over into the lives of the people around us. Joy grows when it’s shared. This week, as you get your heart ready for Christmas, take a moment to think about simple, real ways you can live out—and pass along—the fullness of Christ’s joy. Three Simple Ways to Share Joy This Week
Dear Lord ~ Thank You for the joy we have because of Your Son. As we wait and get ready to celebrate His birth, help us slow down and really feel that joy in our hearts. Let it show up in the way we talk, the way we treat people, and the love we share each day. May that joy spill over and gently point others back to You. ~ Amen
